| Josh Goldberg
Josh has been a general commercial litigator in both big and small-firm settings since 2002. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation and in a wide variety of areas, including real estate, contract, employment, insurance, bankruptcy, advertising, intellectual property, and criminal law matters. Josh's practice includes not only obtaining favorable results for clients in the most efficient manner possible, but also advising clients in all aspects of their businesses in order to avoid litigation.
Josh also has extensive trial experience before judges and juries and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar. Most recently, Josh prevailed in a real estate construction dispute after a month-long bench trial in the Cook County Circuit Court's Chancery Division. Prior to that, Josh served as lead counsel in a first-degree murder jury trial in the Cook County Criminal Court.
Josh received his B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1993 and an M.S.J. in 1996 from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Prior to obtaining his law degree in 2002 from the University of Chicago, Josh worked as a newspaper reporter for The Billings Gazette in Billings, Montana and The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in Chicago.
Before joining Brown Udell, Josh was a litigator with Winston & Strawn, LLP from 2002 to 2008, and with a boutique firm, Fox, Hefter, Swibel, Levin & Carroll, LLP, from 2008 to 2011.
