| Amanda C. Jones
 Amanda C. Jones is an associate in the Litigation group, concentrating her practice in commercial contract disputes, mortgage foreclosure, consumer fraud claims, class actions, securities litigation, and environmental and energy litigation. Significant representations include:
-
Representing an airline in a $50 million contract dispute with a jet manufacturer;

Representing an insurance company in a class action dispute with insureds regarding modification of policies;

Representing airlines in a multi-billion dollar contract dispute regarding airport lease and use agreements;
-
Representing an international energy company in settlement negotiations with federal, state, and local authorities for environmental claims;
-
Representing a national accounting firm in a professional negligence action in which plaintiffs sought in excess of $100 million against all defendants; and
-
Representing a coalition of industrial customers and alternative electric suppliers in utility rate cases before the Illinois Commerce Commission.
Ms. Jones is also active in pro bono matters and community organizations. Most recently, Ms. Jones worked with Aids-Free World to investigate and document politically-motivated sexual violence in Zimbabwe, and also represented a group of affordable housing participants in a dispute arising under the Illinois Condominium Property Act regarding percentages of ownership interest.
Ms. Jones was a PILI Fellow in 2005 at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and an active member of the Women & The Law Committee for the Illinois State Bar Association. Since 2006, Ms. Jones has been a member of the Associate Board for the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, serving as Chair for 2008-2009, and as a Governing Board member for 2010. Ms. Jones is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
Prior to joining Brown, Udell, Pomerantz & Delrahim, Ltd., Ms. Jones was an associate in the commercial litigation practice of DLA Piper LLP (US) in Chicago.
