Senior Counsel
 Tom Canepa serves as Senior Counsel in the Transactional-Real Estate and Corporate Group at Brown, Udell, Pomerantz & Delrahim, Ltd. He concentrates his practice in corporate and entity formation, corporate and real estate transactions, including joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for clients in the fields of telecommunications, media and entertainment, internet, manufacturing, industrial, energy, environmental, transportation, and homeland security. He has represented various individual, corporate and entrepreneurial entities in connection with corporate and technology-related transactions, joint ventures, business start-ups, financing, development, leasing, licensing, and management. With respect to new ventures and entity formation, Tom advises clients with respect to structuring of entities for investment in various real estate and business projects. Prior to joining Brown, Udell, Pomerantz & Delrahim, Ltd., he was Of Counsel to Ungaretti & Harris in Chicago, and General Counsel to Pitchfork Media Inc. in Chicago and Brooklyn.
Mr. Canepa received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He also attended the International Business Studies Program at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Mr. Canepa is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois, and before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
Tom has been in private practice since 1988 representing corporate and individual clients with respect to corporate, tax, real estate, international transactions, and intellectual property matters, including litigation related to such matters. He has also represented numerous churches and non-profit entities with respect to their corporate, organizational, tax and real estate matters.
