Delrahim, Managing Partner has been elected as a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) and will be inducted at ACMA’s Fall Conference in September, 2013. Formed in 1974, ACMA represents more than 400 lawyers in North America who are experienced in real estate finance transactions and mortgage law. There are 21 ACMA members in Illinois. “I have the utmost respect for the ACMA members I have known and with whom I have worked for many years,” said Michael Delrahim. “I am honored to join this esteemed group of mortgage lawyers,” said Delrahim. Mr. Delrahim represents a broad range of clients including publicly- traded and privately- held corporations and partnerships in real estate development matters. He also serves as in-house counsel to a prominent privately-owned real estate firm. His practice includes real estate, mortgages, loan documentation, troubled asset workouts, and litigation experience including the representation of clients in the acquisition, disposition and construction of residential condominium projects, mixed use developments, and office buildings and industrial properties. Michael represents borrowers and lenders and utilizes the unique skills garnered from this comprehensive representation. He is the founder of the Chicago Real Estate Professionals, a monthly networking group bringing together nearly 500 of the most seasoned real estate professionals in Chicago to attend a facilitated panel discussion on thought-provoking topics of interest to developers, owners, lenders and professional service providers. An adjunct professor of law at Chicago-Kent College of Law – IIT, he teaches Real Estate Fundamentals and Syndication and lectures extensively before business and legal forums on real estate and related topics. He is a frequent lecturer, writer and real estate expert for the local and National media.
Mr. Delrahim earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
