James Mitchell has practiced environmental law since 1997, with extensive experience in real estate and corporate transactional due diligence, compliance counseling, site remediation management, cost recovery, placement of environmental insurance and insurance recovery matters. Mr. Mitchell advises clients on managing the risks and liabilities associated with brownfield properties. He has managed matters ranging in size and complexity from the disposition of single contaminated parcels to $100-million plus transactions involving dozens of industrial properties throughout the U.S. and North America. Mr. Mitchell also is experienced in the areas of brownfield property disposition, sustainable development and "green" leasing.
